United Kingdom Inspection Services was established in November 2004. With over 50 years combined technical and hands on experience within the coatings industry. The company identified a need within the industry for technical support and now provides a higher level of service and advice to ship owners and to contracting applicators than was previously available through inspection companies.

UKIS were formed initially to operate on behalf of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and also to assist the various paint manufacturers both with technical service and evaluation of their products.

PERSONNEL

The company currently has five coating surveyors / inspectors all of whom have achieved various recognised qualifications within the industry. UKIS are however striving towards all surveyors holding the full NACE qualifications by the end of 2008. Several of the surveyors have held management posts within the industry including the position of Technical Service Manager within major paint manufacturers both here in the UK and worldwide.
